Yoga might make you a bit more flexible but thats all.

Not at all! I used to do power/ashtanga yoga and saw results after a few classes. My endurance was better, my flexibility was more. It works fast.

There are many goods programs available and it’s always a good idea to mix things up. A year before results would be excessive in my opinion. A 6-8 weeks is more like it, assuming your giving best efforts and attend a class twice a week (or more). All Yoga is progressive. It needs to be learned first, executed second, perfected third. This takes time. Some movements take years to perfect.

Yoga is far more then flexibility. It’s core strength, and a serious calorie burner. Anything that requires balance and held positions comes from your core muscles. I could easily say that Yoga does more for your core region, and to fat burn, then 45 minutes on a treadmill would – plus 100 crunches.
